Santos rosewood (Machaerium scleroxylon), also known as Pau Ferro, is a species native to South America (Brazil, Bolivia, etc.). It is magnificent when cut on the quarter. Colour : Orange-brown, with brown to red, sometimes yellow, grain. Uses for veneers : decorative panels, cabinetry. Available in a sanded finish.
